California Calls Just Convened 90 of the Smartest Budget Advocates in California

That's the truth of it.  And they did a bang-up job of making everyone feel special, and included, and valued.  I learned a lot about organizing, about our options, and about how to move forward in narrowing our options for November 2012.

Wouldn't you like to go to a meeting like that?  Maybe you have, but I haven't.  We all felt the "fierce energy of now," as Peter Laarman murmured.  We all had constituencies and we were all individuals, each opinionated, with interests, concerns and ego.  And somehow, through a disclipined, well-presented, well-facilitated & well-planned meeting, we managed to harness that fierce energy and identify some priorities.
